I am a Counsellor in private Practice at The Eaves, Godalming, Surrey and The Eaves, Guildford, Surrey. I work with individuals aged 18 upwards and couples. I have a wealth of clinical and lived experience working with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I worked in business environments for many years supporting senior management and clients. The information here will give you an insight into what counselling involves as well as the way that I work. Hopefully this will enable you to take the next steps in seeking some professional help and finding the right Counsellor to work with.

My specialism is working with clients who have lived experience of trauma. I have extensive experience in a range of presenting issues including depression, abuse, anxiety, loss, stress, life transitions, faith, low self-esteem, bereavement, burnout, the impact of boarding school, life transitions, health anxiety, relational difficulties. This list is not exhaustive.

My way of working is respectful, collaborative and empowering. I will help you process your story and find resources within yourself that you may not be aware of.

I qualified in 2009 and was trained at Waverley Abbey College in Farnham, Surrey (validated by Roehampton University). My theoretical model is Integrative. I attend professional workshops to enhance my knowledge and skillset. I also attend Clinical Supervision regularly both with my Clinical Supervisor and one of my colleagues who is an experienced Counsellor. I work within the Ethical Frameworks of the Professional Bodies to which I belong – British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) and National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
